Greetings! A lovely day - nice and crisp.
At Humber Bay East we saw the Harlequins, two females and a male. Around the park were the usual: Buffleheads, Mallards, American Wigeons, and Gadwalls. At Colonel Sam Smith the grebes are in full force: about 200 Red Necked and 12 Horned. Various stages of plumage with a few Horned Grebes showing their horns. The Kestrels continue to entertain and there was a nice assortment of Robins, Grackles, and Red Winged Blackbirds. Oh, and the Tree Swallows are back. Getting to the parks: take the QEW/Gardiner and exit at Kipling for Colonel Sam Smith and go south past Lakeshore Blvd. Exit at Parklawn for Humber Bays East and West. Parking in west of Lakeshore Blvd and Parklawn.
