Hello birders, This morning at 10:00 am April 26, I observed a Louisiana Waterthrush singing along a stream in Halton Hills. This stream is suitable nesting habitat, so it may stay around. I also observed a second bird singing at 10:15 am on another stream 0.7 km west of the first one, also in suitable nesting habitat. Directions; From 27th sideroad of Halton Hills and Eighth line intersection, turn right (east), drive 0.7 km. and park just before a bridge, I observed the bird singing just north of this bridge, it was about five metres high in a hardwood tree. The second bird was along a stream adjacent to the Eighth line, park at the curve just south of the intersection of 27th sideroad and Eighth line, walk south 130 metres down the road, then left down the trail to the stream, the bird was singing downstream from a ( footbridge visible from the road). Good birding. Gerry Doekes _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
