Hey Birders,

Today was excellent throughout the island. A total of 26 warbler species were
seen, many in good numbers. Highlights included a male KENTUCKY and HOODED at
Middle Point. Another HOODED was singing at Fish Point along with 2
YELLOW-THROATED VIREO'S. MOURNING WARBLERS were fairly widespread with at least
4 throughout the island. A late HORNED GREBE was seen offshore from Middle
Point.

A fairly good reverse migration took place at Fish Point. I don't have the
exact numbers yet, but likely around 50 RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRDS and 250+
BALTIMORE ORIOLES flew off.

The fields along Henderson Road continue to get better for shorebirds. A male
WILSON'S PHALAROPE and a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER were seen. An OLIVE-SIDED
FLYCACTCHER was also seen nearby.

Good Birding,
Ken Burrell
