Thickson's Woods is in full leaf, forcing birders to listen carefully. On
Friday, May 21 morning several people (names not known) reported a
Worm-eating Warbler in the trees along the south side.
While botanizing for an hour I managed to pick out the following
birds--ad.male Scarlet Tanager, Philadelphia Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Least
Flycatcher, Swainson's Thrush, and the following other
Warblers--Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue, Blackburnian,
Wilson's, Canada, Yellow-rumped, Yellow, American Redstart AND several
Mournings.

Exit 401 onto Thickson Rd.S. in se Whitby, south to the lakefront and back
north, parking on the east side--walk down the roadway that separates the
woods from the meadow.
