This afternoon at around 5:30 pm, I spotted a juvenile *Bald Eagle* flying
over Lake Wilcox, from the west end of the lake at the mouth of the channel.
The eagle grabbed a fish and then headed east as it was being pursued by a
couple of Red-Winged Blackbirds who eventually drove it away from the lake.
This was a nice surprise in addition to two *Osprey* fishing and two *Common
Loons* (whom were calling).

Good birding!

*Directions:* Lake Wilcox is located in Oak Ridges. Closest major
intersection to the east end of the lake is Stouffville Road and Bayview
Ave. Drive north on Bayview and turn left onto Bethesda Side Rd. Then turn
right onto Old Bayview Ave. A good place to stop is the rowing/kayaking
club which is located on the lake on the left side of Old Bayview.
