At approximately 0950h this morning I observed what appeared to be a Tufted
Titmouse in a deciduous woodland in the east end of Cobourg. At 1615h this
afternoon a positive sighting was made of a Tufted Titmouse, possibly the
same bird observed earlier in the day. This time I was able to observe the
bird for about ten minutes before it disappeared in the brush. The typical
song - a loud whistled peter, peter, peter was also noted.

Directions: From downtown Cobourg (Division & King Street) proceed east on
King Street (formerly Hwy #2) to Willmott Street, turn right and proceed
south to Thompson Street turning left (east) and proceed to the intersection
with Normar Road. The Titmouse has been observed in the woods on the
northwest corner near the stream and abandon farm buildings. It has also
been observed crossing to the eastern side of Normar Road, once again near
the stream and some less visible abandon farm buildings.
