With all the development in Bradford, the storm water ponds which keep springing up have become magnets for birds. Today I found 10 Killdeer, 1 Stilt Sandpiper, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Baird's Sandpipers, 9 Least Sandpipers, and 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper all in an area not much bigger than a small parking lot. The birds were located at the junction of Prof. Day Drive and the 8th Line of Bradfordon in the pond on the north side of the 8th Line. Drive from Hwy 400 east on County Rd. 88 to Prof. Day Drive (Bradford High School). turn left until you get to the 8th Line. Pond is straight ahead.
