Today at 11:00 am I saw a Red-headed Woodpecker at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. The bird was in large cottonwoods by the comfort station at the entrance to the Owen Point Trail parking lot ( formerly Beach 4 ). Presqu'ile Provincial Park is located South of Brighton, On; take the Brighton exit # 509 ( County Rd. 30 ) and go South to town and follow signs to the park. Owen Point Trail parking lot is about 2 km from the gate on the right.
