Weather: Rain in the morning that dropped off by 9am. Cloud cover and haziness kept most of the migrants from heading out. An afternoon thunderstorm ended the day. Raptor Observations: Movement was slow today due to the less than favorable weather. Still 106 birds of 6 species made appearances. Non-raptor Observations: Predictions: Better weather tomorrow will bring the big numbers of migrants we've been waiting for. Winds from the south east will blow today's storm out of our area. Rain is possible on Saturday which could put damper on Hawk Fest, but Sunday also looks like it will be good for migrants. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Greg Norwood ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
