As the warbler migration wanes the number of sparrows and sparrow species
increases. This morning in the TJ Dolan Natural Area I saw my first Fox
Sparrow of the fall. There were White-crowned, White-throated and Song
Sparrows in good numbers, a few Dark-eyed Junco and a single Chipping Sparrow.
Two days ago I had a Eastern Towhee.

Other migrants observed were Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, both kinglets, a few
Brown Creeper, along with small numbers of Orange-crowned, Nashville, and
Yellow-rumped Warblers.

The TJ Dolan Natural Area is in SW Stratford along the Avon River. There is a
parking lot and map board at the intersection of John and Center Streets.
