Greetings ONTBirders:

At 11:30am at Mer Bleue, two NORTHERN SHRIKES were observed from the eastern 
side of the boardwalk, several hundred meters out into the bog.  One of the 
shrikes, I'm assuming the male, was vocalizing for several minutes.  
Unfortunately, no sign of the BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER that seems to frequent 
the area at random intervals.

DIRECTIONS: From the 417, exit at Anderson Road and head north towards Russell 
Road.  Continue on Anderson, turning right onto Ridge Road.  The parking lot 
for the Mer Bleue Bog is at the end of Ridge Road.
