A flock of 23 Bohemian Waxwings were present Monday afternoon at the fair grounds in the village of Burk's Falls (about 40 km. north of Huntsville off Hwy 11). There was one Lapland Longspur in with a flock of 18 Horned Larks at the same location. Other interesting sightings in the region included a Black Scoter on October 23 at the lookout park on Lake Bernard and two Wild Turkeys October 24 along Hazzard Hill Road south of Island Lake.
