Two Cave Swallows went by heading E past?the tower?at Holiday Beach CA today (10/27) at 2:54 pm. Nither stayed long, although the one bird stalled a bit so that I could clearly see the rusty throat in addition to the orange rump.?By the time I got on the second bird (they came through together but were far enough apart?that I couldn't see both in the same bin field) I could clearly see it was a "Petro" swallow and had the "capped" appearance typical of Cave (vs. Cliff). Also seen earlier in the day were single Tree and N. Rough-winged Swallows (separately)?heading W. ? ? Jim Pawlicki Amherstburg, Essex
