A Cattle Egret was seen off the marina on Harbour Street in Brighton this morning. Others looking for it soon afterwards reported that it had left and that the gulls with which it was sitting had scattered to the water as if disturbed. Brighton is reached from exit 509 on Highway 401. Harbour Street runs parallel to the waterfront. The marina is less than a kilometre west of Cedar Street. Both this morning and this afternoon a male Eurasian Wigeon was in the marsh opposite the bird sightings board at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. The Park is reached by following the signs from Brighton. The bird sightings board is indicated by a sign in the Park.
