Good day! Late this afternoon ( Nov 03) a lone Juvenile Dark Morph Lesser Snow Goose could be found on the beach near the water between the two stone jetties at Petrie Island in the east of Ottawa. It was in the company of approx 50 Canada Geese and 30 or more Ring Billed Gulls. They all ended up in the water on two occasions when dogs ran by even though the dogs were far off ( Great Danes in one case) But all returned to the beach and this goose swam very close to where I was kneeling down. When I left it was sleeping (as were most of the Canadas)
