Observation start time: 08:30:00
Observation end time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Official Counter: Rob Payne

Observers: Darlene Friedman, Don Sherwood, Patrick Mulawa,
                  Rodney Laura

Visitors:
A good group for a November Saturday. Those who were around for the
afternoon were treated to quite a show. Many thanks again to my great
spotters who show up by the half dozen on every nice day.

Weather:
The first half of the day was very pleasant with plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures stayed below 50f, but lots of sun and little wind, made it
quite comfortable. Winds were primarily out of the north and averaged
around 3mph. In the afternoon clouds picked up and the wind got a little
stronger, making it a bit chilly.

Raptor Observations:
Today the warmth let the raptors gain plenty of altitude, and most birds
were seen from quite a ways away. The buteo show was fantastic, with
Red-tailed Hawks nearly non-stop with a total of 233. At 11am (EDST) we had
3 Rough-legged Hawks and all were dark morph, at 2pm we had another dark
morph. No light morph Rough-legged Hawks were seen today. We had a 3 Golden
Eagles in the middle of the day, but a good push between 4pm and 5pm
brought us 6 more.

A total of 375 raptors were counted of 9 species.

Non-raptor Observations:
The oddest find of the day was a single Blue-headed Vireo singing his heart
out near the Marhslands Museum.

Predictions:
The weather we had today will probably remain till the end of next week.
The temperatures look to rise steadily before topping of at 60f on Tuesday.
This is the peak week for all the highly wanted birds, and the weather
looks like it will be nice.
