Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Raburn Howland

Observers: Fred Kirn, Rodney Laura

Weather:
Today was yet another of the recent foggy trend. Yet it helped us by
burning out early, leaving us with sun and mild temperatures. Winds were
light from east with an average of 3mph.

Raptor Observations:
The continuance of the easterly winds is keeping the raptor migration on
hold. Eastern winds are our flight shut off switch. Most raptors seem to
avoid flying with a tail wind. A typical mid-November lunchtime flight
occurred with less than normal number. Buteos were decently represented
with 14 for Red-tailed Hawks, 6 Rough-legged Hawks, and 2 Red-shouldered
Hawks. No Golden Eagles were seen today.

38 raptors were counted of 5 species.

Non-raptor Observations:

Predictions:
Were not done with this odd weather yet. Tomorrow looks to be along the
same pattern as we've been seeing. I don't expect to seen any changes from
today's weather.
