Hello Winter Listers, I just returned from seeing the Wilson's Phalarope at the Blenheim Lagoons. I watched it from 11:15 until 11:30 as it swam around with the ducks in Pond 3 (see sightings book). This pond was completely open. Partly cloudy here with light Northerly winds. It's supposed to blow pretty hard tomorrow, get colder and we expect lake effect snow to our north and east. Today might be a better day to come, if you can make it in time. Good luck!
Lagoon Directions: Exit 401 at #90 (Communications Rd.) and head to Blenheim. At the main stoplight turn right (west) onto Rd. 3. Travel about 1.5 km and turn right (north) onto Lagoon Rd., at the car wash, and continue north about 1 km to gate.
