Greetings! A beautiful day today. This year the Horned Grebes stayed to show their plumage - there are several in full feather. If you hang out by the western peninsula they come in nice and close.
It looks like the Red Neck Grebes who nested last year are going to try again this year. No Western Grebe sadly. A pair of Blue winged Teal were close to shore in the second, from the east, bay, foraging for whatever they forage for. Killdeer, Brown Headed Cow birds, and the usual were also around. Tree Swallows are finally showing up in numbers. The park is at the south of Kipling and Lakeshore Blvd. exit off the Gardiner at Kipling and go south of Lakeshore to the end of the road.
