This morning there were 35 Little Gulls In the Oshawa Second Marsh. Most left for the lake to join the rafts of Bonaparte's feeding on the ghost midge hatch by 8:20am

Tundra Swan 1 possibly may oversummer. One oversummers (or attempts) on Oshawa Second Marsh every 4-5 years Ruddy Duck 9, White-winged Scoters, Northern Pintails, American Wigeons, Redheads

Common Loons and Horned and Red-necked Grebes in the lake
14 Black-crowned Night Herons

Gulls and Terns (7 species):
Bonaparte's Gull 1313 (1200 on lake feeding on ghost midge hatch. rest in marsh)
Immature iceland and Great Black-backed Gulls on the gravel bar in the marsh

Directions

Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit(419) in Oshawa. Go south on
Farewell St. Colonel Sam Drive. Turn East onto Colonel Sam Drive and follow
to the parking lot at the GM Headquarters. Park in the west parking lot
close to the marsh. The east (GM) platform is visible from the NW corner of
the lot.
