Hello all,

For the information of anyone thinking of looking for Acadian Flycatcher at
Spooky Hollow, I observed one singing individual there today at 10:00 a.m.
It was visible from the main trail about 150 m from the road just beyond the
first branching trail on the right which takes you to the Hemlock Loop. I
would say it was a male except that the females also sing under some
circumstances.

Regards,

Robert

Directions: Spooky Hollow is located in Norfolk County near Turkey Point
Provincial Park. From the community of Simcoe, travel south on Hwy 24,
continuing after it jogs to the west. Turn left on Charlotteville East
Quarter Line Rd. (one road after Fishers Glen Rd.) Bear right and watch for
Spooky Hollow Rd. on your left. Turn left and follow the road until it dips
into the ravine and curves right. Cross a small creek and watch for a
widening on the right side of the road where you can park. The entrance to
Spooky Hollow is to your right.
