Hi Ontbirders, While hiking around MacGregor Point Provincial Park this morning, I located a King Eider. It was last seen at around 2:15pm, on the Old Shore Road Trail. It was with a group of about 25 Red-breasted Mergansers, and appeared to be a young (second year) male.
Good birding, Brendan Directions: Going south on Highway 21, turn right on Bruce-Saugeen Townline Road. Follow it down to the end, and the entrance to the trail will be on your right. The Eider was being seen at the first lake access, close to 500m down the trail. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
