Birders,
I put this in for interest since the bird probably won't stay long
and there is no public access in West Bay Chandos lake. Chandos is east of
the village of Apsley.
However today there was a Red Throated Loon on the bay. Photographs
were taken and it seems to be in adult plumage but the back indicated that
it may be a first year bird. Last fall just before freeze up I had a
winter plumaged bird in the same area for a week. It is interesting to
speculate as to it being the same bird.
