Many had tales of surviving the night's rain storm. Weather: Temp 21.8-25.9 C; Wind W to NW 3-7 km; Rel. Humidity 84-73 %; Overcast with two good showers that got me off the tower. Raptor Observations: Two late birds. Sharpie and Osprey 12-1. Non-raptor Observations: There was no movement on the ground and little in the marsh. No birds in trees a base of tower. I didn't look very hard for activity in the marsh. Great Blue Heron-2, Northern Shoveler-2, Common Moorhen-2, Killdeer-1, Solitary Sandpiper-1, Spotted Sandpiper-1, Ring-billed Gull-51, Rock Pigeon-1, Mourning Dove-1, Chimney Swift-1, Ruby-throated Hummingbird-2, Belted Kingfisher-1, Downy Woodpecker-1, Purple Martin-560, Tree Swallow-11, Northern Rough-winged Swallow-4, Barn Swallow-16, Swallow Species-375, Blue Jay-3, American Crow-1, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-2, Gray Catbird-1, Cedar Waxwing-15, European Starling-33, Warbling Vireo-1, Northern Cardinal-2, Bobolink-3, Red-winged Blackbird-43, Common Grackle-40, American Goldfinch-43 Predictions: Mostly cloudy. An isolated light shower. Highs 64-68 F (18-20 C). North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
