Visitors:
Two visitors to the platform today were treated to scope views of perched
Bald Eagles and a dining Merlin.

Weather:
Temps 14 - 16 C today with cloudy skies. Off-and-on rain turned more
serious in the early afternoon, forcing down any migrating raptors. Winds
again out of the northeast.

Raptor Observations:
A few migrants today between rain showers. Sharp-shinned Hawks, American
Kestrels, and Northern Harriers once again dominated.

Non-raptor Observations:
Highlight today was a flock of nine Black Terns that came in from the east
and then later left going back east with 21 Common Terns and one
Bonaparte's Gull.

Predictions:
Rain Showers. Mostly Cloudy. High: 22 C. Wind East 16 - 21 km/h. 60 percent
chance of precipitation.

Doesn't sound ideal, but I'm sure there will at least a few birds around
after the last few days of migration. We'll see if the rain holds off
enough for them to get going.
