Weather: Strong ENE winds today...with a high of just 2C that felt a lot colder than that. Solid cloud cover for the count period. Raptor Observations: Another smaller flight today with 57 birds of which 54 were Redtails. There were singles of TV, Coooper's Hawk and a late Peregrine. Non-raptor Observations: With today's high wind and poor light, it was tough to find songbirds. In fact, the only thing singing was the wind through the trees. However, a large flock of Dark-eyed Juncos flew across the field at the B&B, and later at Sharpie Alley, we had 5 Tundra Swans, 3 Snow Geese, a couple of Blue Jays and a small flock of American Crows. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
