The snowy owl that, presumably, was reported twice late last week in
the Holland Marsh vegetable fields east of Hwy 400 and north of Hwy 9
was there again around noon today (December 12), best visible from the
last section of Woodchoppers lane, looking north. It is an all white
male that strikes me as an exceptionally large bird of its kind. Still
keeps well away from being easily seen, though was now no more than
200 meters from the lane when spotted.
