A House Wren was seen yesterday (Sunday, 18-Dec) in St. Catharines. It was active in the tangled undergrowth beside the road. Directions: From the intersection of Pelham Road and First Street Louth, south west of St. Catharines, go down the steep hill to the south. At the bottom of the hill there is a pull-off on the right (west) side, and a gate in the fence line. Park here and check the tangles within the first 100 m to the west side of the road, especially towards the base of the slope to your right as you enter the area. There is pedestrian access into the area, beside the gate.
