Hi Ontbirds, On April 8 I posted “ On Monday April 2 I heard singing Red-eyed vireo for about 4 minutes. The bird was at the top on a tall spruce, not visible.” It was at Eglinton Flats Park, Toronto.
I received a few replays that it could be a Blue-headed Vireo who has the very similar song and it is coming much earlier. I had not seen the bird, so I would like to apologize for confusing. My post should stated – “ I have heard vireo species’ song.” Thank you, Pete and Willie. Jacek Pawlikowski. PS I saw Blue-headed Vireo in Eglinton Flats on May 4th, 2004. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
