I birded the Wet Woods at the base of Leslie St. this afternoon and when I came out, I discovered my car had been broken into. The window was smashed and cash and a credit card stolen from my purse. I had hidden my purse under the front seat, but perhaps something was visible--something must have attracted the thief to my car.
Be careful and don't keep valuables in your car when you park there.
