At 1:20 p.m. I observed two Willets flying east to west past my house about 100
metres out over the lake. I watched them land on shore near the base of
Thickson Point just to the west of Thickson Road South.
To reach Thickson's Woods take Hwy 401 to Thickson Rd. S. (exit 412) and exit
and go south on Thickson Road to the cul-de-sac at its southern terminus (2
km). Park here and walk further south on Thickson Road right to the lake, where
you can walk east onto the private road that borders the lake. I saw the
Willets fly by this road and land on shore to the west of Thickson Road near
the base of the point.
