Rondeau Report – Le Conte’s Sparrow A Le Conte’s Sparrow was found by John Lamey on South Point Trail. It was seen at 11:00 am just past the second bench. Please note that this is the bench BEFORE the Anne McArthur bench.
Directions: From the Rondeau Visitor Centre, go south 2 km on Lakeshore Road to the parking lot. [Note – this is the SOUTH PARKING LOT for South Point Trail - NOT the South Point Trail parking lot located on Gardiner ~1/2 km to the east of the Visitor Centre). Walk south on the trail less than 1 km to just past the second bench. Good luck! Directions: Take exit 101 from Highway 401 and drive South 16 km on Chatham Kent Road 15. Turn right and follow the signs to the park. The Bird Sightings Book, Bird Sightings Board, Bird Checklists and other relevant information are to be found at the Visitor Centre. To reach the Visitor Centre from the park Gate, travel 6 km South on Rondeau Road to Gardiner Ave., then follow it around the bend to the parking lot.
