Good afternoon Ontbirders. Our daily warbler tally for Rondeau was 24 species. Best birds were the Yellow-throated at #17372 Lakeshore Road, up to at least 3:10 pm; and Prothonotary on Tulip Tree Trail. Also of interest was a Hooded at the Pony Barn and a Blue-winged, both this afternoon, as well as a Mourning.
Scarlet Tanagers were much in evidence in the park today, with significant numbers of females. A Dark-eyed Junco at Pony Barn was a late migrant. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More information on the park's nature programs and the Friends of Rondeau is available at the Friends' website: www.rondeauprovincialpark.ca.
