At 5pm this evening, May 15, the Piping Plover reappeared at Beach 2 at
Presqu'ile.
I had been scoping the beach for a while, seeing only Sanderling, Dunlin,
and Leasts and was about to leave when I heard the two-toned call and turned
round to find the plover back in the spot I had just been searching. I think
it must have flown in from another part of the shoreline.

Directions:
Presqu'ile is on the north shore of Lake Ontario, south of Brighton. It is
well signed from Hwy 2 or the 401.
Currently the gate to Beach 2 is closed, so access is via the Beach 1
parking lot.
