Ron Pittaway just called from the Sedge Wren Marsh on Wylie Road to say he 
heard a Yellow Rail ticking loudly east of the bridge at 7:48 p.m.

I'm very happy about this because in the 24-hour birding competition The Carden 
Challenge on 25 and 26 May, our team of Eleanor Beagan, Jean Iron, Andrew 
Keaveney and Ron Reid, is called the Yellow Rails. We sure hope this one stays 
and that we will hear one then. For more info

Directions:
Go north of Kirkfield on Kirkfield Road 6 past the liftlock to McNamee. Turn 
right then immediately left onto Wylie Road and go north about 2 km to Sedge 
Wren Marsh. Please park in designated area just south of marsh, then walk to 
bridge.
