Don Barnett and I spent 9 hours today starting at 5:30 am and no Whimbrels were seen. But some significant shorebirds were seen, only in first 90 minutes of the watch. BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER: flocks of 32 and 350; DUNLIN: flocks of 110, 25, 80 and 130 totalling 345; Ruddy Turnstone: 1. A small flock of 11 Bonaparte's Gull included one Little Gull. The watch continues until 30 May. History shows a distinct peak in numbers on 24 May, but large numbers may occur two days before or after this date.

The park is locate of the end of Kipling south of Lakeshore Boulevard.
