Hi Birders, Hans VanDer Zweep and I saw 3 juvenile Barrow's goldeneye at the
Long Sault Parkway about 7:00 PM this evening. We first spotted them coming
across the bridge to MacDonnell Island swimming and diving in the east bay. We
turned in to the first road on the left and drove to the water's edge for a
really good look through the scope. The head shape and markings on the wings
plus the eye color convinced us they were Barrow's.

To get to this spot go to the east entrance of The Long sault Parkway (across
from Tim Hortons). when you cross the second bridge, you are on MacDonnell
Island. Bob Scranton
