This morning at Owen Point in Presqu'ile Prov. Pk. south of Brighton, a good
assortment of shorebirds could be found.Birds included Buff-breasted Sandpiper,
Red Knot, Stilt Sandpiper (1 ad., 1 juv.), Black-bellied and Golden Plover,
Semipalmated Plover, Sanderling, Semipalmated, Least, Spotted, Baird's,
White-rumped and Pectoral sandpipers, Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, Killdeer
and a Short-billed Dowitcher.Also there were many Blue-winged and Green-winged
Teal, American Wigeon and Black ducks.A large number of Caspian Terns sat on
the point with a few Ring-billed and Herring gulls.4 American Pipits flew in.
Also seen were Osprey, Merlin, Am. Kestrel, Sharp-shinned Hawk and 2 N.
