Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Frank Kitakis, John Elliott

Visitors:
Rodney Laura, Jim Maki, Paul Cypher, Kevin Arnold, Jim Lynch, Steve
Cashell, Russell Conard and Justin Otani.

Weather:
Conditions were mild today with 100 percent cloud cover and temperatures
mostly in the 70s. When there was wind, it was light and out of the west.

Raptor Observations:
Only Sharp-shinned Hawks were interested in moving before the incoming
rain.

Non-raptor Observations:
A Killdeer gave us a fly-by early and a Common Nighthawk was spotted
overhead late. Purple Martins (25+) continue to be seen with some
regularity and were joined by more Chimney Swifts (10+) than have been
apparent lately.

Predictions:
The overnight rain is going to spill over into tomorrow, rendering a hawk
count less and less likely. After this storm passes, Sunday, with a
forecast of partly cloudy skies and northwest winds at 5-10 mph, has the
potential to be very, very good.
