The Red Phalarope found by Richard P. Carr yesterday was still present in
Hillman Marsh. It was fairly distant from the bridge on Mersea Rd. 2, so
scope was required.
Directions:
Drive east on Mersea Road 2, heading towards the east side of the Point
Pelee peninsula. This is east of Mersea road 19 and just west of Mersea Road
21. Stop at the bridge, and scan the water to the south.
Point Pelee was hopping with birds today, as it was yesterday. Nothing
unusual found by our party today (Steve Pike, Richard Carr).
The 'Vega" Gull was not seen to my knowledge today after a Tip watch, but
apparently was yesterday. Lots of action, but no desirables!
Good Birding,
