Fellow birdwatchers: It was been reported to me (today) that at least on 5 
different occassions dogs were see in the wetland. Four of those occassion were 
reports that the dog was accompanied by a person.  I tried to assure Public 
Works that I did not believe that any birdwatcher would enter the wetland with 
a dog.  I believe the single dog was probably a coyote.  If by any chance, any 
birdwatcher did indeed enter the wetland with  a dog, please be advised that 
under no circumstances are dogs permitted in the wetland. Council is looking 
for any reason to close the wetland to birdwatchers. Maureen
