Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Fred Kirn

Visitors:
Paul Cypher and Rodney Laura

Weather:
The skies were mostly clear up until a few wispy clouds began to
materialize in the afternoon. Cold, temperatures hovered around freezing
throughout. The wind was light and variable.

Raptor Observations:
Good variety despite the limited volume. Watching a feisty adult Bald Eagle
diving repeatedly at a mildly annoyed Golden Eagle was a nice treat.

Non-raptor Observations:
A fairly large group of Sandhill Cranes (50+) noisily announced their
presence in the early morning. The birds appeared to be pretty lost or at
the very least quite confused. They circled several times over Celeron
Island (with a few running into each other) before deciding to make their
way southward.

Predictions:
Partly sunny with highs in the low 40s and moderate west wind becoming
northwest in the afternoon.
