Hi all,
I located an adult male Snowy Owl this afternoon @1530 hrs south of
Greenway Road between Hutchinson and Bullock and north of Adare. Presumeably
this is the bird found on the Kettle Point CBC (Sat Dec 15) by Jerry Kuhwald
and company near the extreme west end of Mark Settlement Road (just inside our
circle) - the area where Penny and I failed to locate it yesterday despite
quite a wide search.
Good luck if you try for it - I saw it from Adare(signed 'no winter
maintenace'), quite close to where it ends - the bird really stood out perched
on a short post near a red cedar(juniper) with the mostly ploughed fields in
the background. Maris
Directions - Bullock Rd is first south off Greenway Road in the village as soon
as you come off C.R. #81 for easy orientation.
