Ontbirders, This morning at 10:15 am I sighted an adult Peregrine Falcon along the 4th Concession Rd, West of Altona Rd and just north of Taunton Rd. I was observing a mixed flock of Red-winged Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, Rusty Blackbird and several European Starling when it flew in from the North flushing a group of half a dozen Morning Dove.
Also of note the junvenile Red-headed Woodpecker is still present at the dead end offshoot of North Rd just North of Whitevale Rd and South of the 407.
