Ontbirders,

The Eastern Phoebe, 1st seen Jan 7, was found again today along the Thames
River in Ingersoll, in good health and [seemingly] set to successfully
overwinter - having survived nights close to - 20 C.

This bird is doing a ''Sedgewick'', apparently feeding on invertebrates coming
from the warm water pools within the Ingersoll wastewater treatment plant, as
well as spending time at the waste water outlet into the Thames. Definitely a
place to check more frequently next winter.

>From Charles Street West, turn right [north] at Wonham Street, cross the
>tracks and park beside the mini-golf and follow the trail west along the
>river. Alternately, you can enter from the north side by accessing McKeand
>Street and parking at the dead-end at the river. The water treatment plant is
>visible to the NE.

Cheers,
