It has been an interesting morning for seeing birds from the comfort of my living room.  A Bluebird turned up in the falling snow and did an inspection of my nest boxes.  Shortly thereafter a Killdear landed in the hay field.  Many flocks of Tundra Swans, Canada Geese and Mallards are flying over with some landing in the creek.

Flocks of Grackles and Red Wing Blackbirds are filling up the trees around the house.  The usual culprits, a pair of Red Bellied Woodpeckers,  a pair of Downey Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Juncos, Cardinals, Bluejays, MOURNING Doves, Nuthatches, and Starlings are all here today.

I am on Stone Quarry Road, 2.5kms west of Townsend.
