There are several pairs of Dickcissels in a large meadow just east of Wheatley. We had about 8 males singing in the northern portion of the field this morning.
The +50 acre field is 3.1 km east of Wheatley on the south side of Highway 3. Watch for an oil well and storage tank in a field dominated by clovers. The land owner does not mind birders visiting the property.
