Today at Nonquon Lagoons near Port Perry there were several shorebird species : 
a juvenile Baird's Sandpiper, Semipalmated, Least, Pectoral, Solitary and 
Spotted sandpipers, Killdeer and Lesser Yellowlegs.
Also, Merlin, Osprey, many Black Terns and Bonaparte's Gulls.
 
Directions : From Highway 12 north of Port Perry, travel east on Reach Road 
past the transfer station (obtain permit here) to Tim Horton's at lights. Turn 
north until you reach Concession 8. Turn west to the lagoons. Permit required.
