This morning a group of us got good looks at the Dowitcher off Twin Elm Rd. in Ottawa. It proved to be a Short-billed.
The 14 adult Golden Plovers increased to 15 and the to 23. Later in the morning two Pectoral Sandpipers joined the plovers. Good looks were available until about 11:15 when an immature Peregrine Falcon strafed the field emptying it.
