Weather:
The sun was shining and the breeze was pleasing on an ever-gorgeous second
day of HawkFest. We were afforded a great sky for spotting with a nice mix
of white and blue all day. The wind was light to moderate and out of the
north.

Raptor Observations:
Despite seemingly favorable conditions, today's flight was underwhelming.
Plenty of Turkey Vultures were seen but not much else. Even farther south,
observers at Point Mouillee reported a limited flight. The day's highlight
came when a high-flying Merlin made repeated acrobatic dives at a
Ring-billed Gull.

Non-raptor Observations:
Cape May Warbler (4), Blackpoll Warbler (2), Common Loon (1), Canada Goose
(200+), Northern Shoveler (7), Blue Jay (12). Also, Tree Swallows were
exceptionally abundant, swirling by the thousands out over lake.

Predictions:
Partly cloudy with mild temps and light northeast wind.
